At Move Well Physiotherapy, we use Interferential Stimulator, TENS  and biofeedback device as the electrical agencies.

The interferential stimulator is a low-frequency treatment (usually 1-250 Hz) that uses two medium frequency currents which interfere with each other to produce a beat frequency that the body recognizes as a low-frequency energy source. So, there are two independent circuits and four electrodes in total. They carry high frequency and medium frequency alternating currents. This is believed to be providing more effective penetration in the tissues with less discomfort under the electrodes then the normal currencies. Currently, in the literature, there is not enough evidence supporting the therapeutic effects of the modality.

It is used to relieve pain in the management of chronic pain such as low back pain but mainly in the management of after surgery and trauma pain in the presence of other modalities like exercising and ice.
